Project Description:
Located in the Wellington Railway Station, KiwiRail’s corporate staff occupy the eastern wing of the station from level one through to level five.

Interact have recently provided architectural planning services for KiwiRail’s new agile workspaces. Looking directly over the tracks to the north, KiwiRail’s staff have a collaborative agile working environment sympathetically designed within the heritage envelope that directly caters to their needs. This fit out includes pods of hot-desks, informal meeting booths, green walls, collaboration areas, meeting room suites and staff breakout areas.

This project also consisted of both seismic and services upgrades including new mechanical, fire systems, and lighting whilst maintaining the heritage features throughout the spaces.

Interact are also involved in other corporate movements within the building, along with specific planning projects for teams such as Train Control, who oversee and control the nationwide train networks.
